The 22nd Guangdong Dance Festival concluded on the evening of September 23 at the Guangdong Arts Theatre.The festival, with the theme of "Dance in the Greater Bay Area, Art Inspiring the Future," presented 72 wonderful works in 10 performances within five days. The opening work was *Folding Time* (also known as *Then and Now*) by the Guangdong Modern Dance Company, which reproduced eight landmark works spanning more than 30 years. The closing performance was *As If Snowing* by the Hong Kong City Contemporary Dance Company, which combined cutting-edge stage technology with Asian aesthetics, interweaving natural imagery and human reflection.During the festival, there were more than 2,400 on-site spectators, with an average attendance rate of over 85%. At the same time, more than 200,000 online viewers watched through live - streaming platforms, and the cumulative online exposure exceeded five million impressions.The festival consisted of four major sections: the Dance Stagecraft Gatherings, the Up to Date Creative Project, the Youth Dance Showcase, and Masterclasses. These sections comprehensively demonstrated the creative achievements and development trends of Chinese contemporary dance, and also provided a platform for cultural exchange and talent cultivation in the Greater Bay Area.
